Pompei and Naples

The tour begins from your hotel in Rome were your private driver will pick you up to lead you to the heart of the Campania Region : Pompei, flourishing Roman city, destroyed by the famous eruptions of the Vesuvio the 24rd of August of the Year 79 A.D. and Naples, Capital of the so-called Reign of the two Sicily during the Bourbons occupation and once one of the most important European cities. At the entrance of the archaeological excavations of Pompei you’ll meet a professional local guide who will lead you through the breathtaking ruins of the ancient Roman city describing the most important highlights: the forum, the termal baths, the theatres, the luxurious house of the faun, Villa dei Misteri, the Lupanare and many more. You’ll walk on original Roman roads and through ancient Roman houses and shops learning and discovering about the everyday Roman life. Also artistic masterpieces and traces of the Romans unique in the world. After lunch – optional and not included in the price – the tour moves on to Naples with a panoramic tour of the city: the Angiovin Castle, the Royal Palace, Plebiscite square, San Carlo opera house, St. Elmo Castle, the Certosa of St. Martino and many many more. Before living the city we’ll drive to the upper part of Naples on the Posillipo hill were you’ll have an unforgettable view of the gulf of Naples with Capri Island and the Sorrento Peninsula and the Vesuvius.
